David Fox qualified in 1988 from King's College
Hospital, London as a Bachelor in Dental Surgery (B.D.S.), where he
was awarded the Senior Prize in Conservative Dentistry. After qualifying,
he worked for six years in the Hospital Dental service, mainly in
Hertfordshire.
Since 1994 David has worked primarily in General
Dental Practices, while still continuing some hospital work. He was
part-time, Locum Consultant in St. Albans City Hospital for two years,
and performed monthly Locum Consultant operating sessions at the Lister
Hospital in Stevenage until February 2001, when he decided to dedicate
all his time to the Centre.
In 1993 David was awarded the Fellowship in Dental
Surgery (F.D.S.), by the Royal College of Surgeons in Glasgow. In
2000 he was officially recognised as a ‘Specialist in Oral Surgery’
by the General Dental Council.
After completing a number of dental implant training
courses , in June 2001 he graduated from a year’s advanced course
in dental implantology at the Tatum Institute. American Dr Hilt Tatum
(the Institute’s Founder, and currently a Professor at Lille
University in France) has, over the last 30 years, invented many of
the techniques used in dental implantology today. Having been personally
tutored by Dr Tatum, David Fox is able to incorporate many of these
advanced techniques such as sinus grafting, ridge expansion and other
grafting procedures into his practice.
